
Saab has obtained the required regulatory approval to supply the UK Armed Forces with Digital Tower technology. Saab has been successfully accredited under the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Equipment Approved Organization Scheme (AAOS) by the UK Military Aviation Authority and is authorized to develop, supply, install and maintain ATM equipment for customers of the UK Ministry of Defense under the Regulations. 1027. This is an important step needed to be able to deliver ATM equipment to the UK Armed Forces.
AAOS approval was achieved after a year-long effort working alongside the UK’s Military Aviation Authority (MAA). It should be noted that this is the first AAOS ever issued for a Digital Tower ATM military equipment delivery organization, a unique achievement for Saab.

MAA, established in April 2010, is one of the world’s leading defense aviation security organizations, recognized globally for its high standards and focus on risk-based security. This approval further strengthens Saab’s credentials in the UK, building on the Civil Aviation Authority approval obtained in 2018.
Saab Digital Air Traffic Solution’s other approvals include certification to provide air traffic services and MET observation services in accordance with EU Regulation (EU) 2017/373, providing digital ATC as a service in four Swedish airports. Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions also holds ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001 certifications.
